PHYSICAL ETHERNET SWITCH MATRIX WITH GPIB AND ETHERNET INTERFACES

Dow-Key Microwave (a subsidiary of Dover Corp., NYSE:DOV), is an AS9100/ISO 9001 certified manufacturer of electromechanical coaxial and waveguide switches, switch matrices, integrated modular assemblies, and related passive components. Its newest product, a CANBUS-based Ethernet Physical Switch Matrix with GPIB and Ethernet control interfaces, covers a 1 GHz bandwidth.

The Switch Matrix is housed in 3U rack mountable chassis, and can accept one to eight 1X4 Switching Modules. Installation and removal of the Switching Modules are from the rear panel. Modules are optimized for 100 Ω differential pairs impedance. While the 5105 Switch Matrix is designed for Ethernet signal routing applications, it can also be utilized as a building block for other ATE applications.

This CANBUS-based Switch Matrix was designed with focus on reliability and maintainability. This design supports the requirement for MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) of less than 1 hour.
