DOW-KEY ANNOUNCES RF MEMS SWITCH PRODUCT

Ventura, California – November, 2002

Dow-Key Microwave (a subsidiary of Dover Corp., NYSE:DOV), is an ISO 9001 certified manufacturer of electromechanical coaxial and waveguide switches, Switch Matrices, Integrated Modular Assemblies, and related passive components.

“MEMS technology will help us meet the demands of today”s market for even smaller, higher performing RF switches at lower cost. MEMS RF switches clearly demonstrate the true real-estate saving achieved by their use. We expect the demand to increase rapidly as soon as the value of MEMS becomes better understood in the market,” said Don Colletta, Vice President of Marketing.

RF switches are universal building block components used in cell phones, military communications, radar systems, and automated test equipment. FR switches using MEMS technology offer superior electrical performance, low power consumption, and long life in a micro-sized package.

Currently available is a SP2T switch (DKM812) with the following specifications.

Specifications:

Frequency Range (GHz) 300KHz-60 GHz
Insertion Loss (dB Max.) 0.1 @ 900MHz 0.3 @ 6.0GHz
Isolation (dB Min.) 30 @ 0.5GHz 20 @ 6.0GHz
Return Loss (dB Max.) 15 @ 6.0GHz

Samples are now available in a hermetically sealed SMT package or on a carrier board with SMA connectors. Production quantities will be available in Q1 2003. The product is manufactured by Teravicta Technologies.
