This Switch Matrix is based on the well-established standard design of the SP12T switch with internal termination. Access to the termination port via SMA connectors provides an opportunity to utilize this switch as a redundancy solution by allowing insertion of one redundant unit into one of 12 main network lines. This dual use technology has been implemented with the focus on the wireless market needs, specifically in the area of satellite ground stations and wireless networking solutions.

The 13D12-480822T performs up to 18 GHz and can be easily accessed from anywhere in the world via TCP/IP protocols on 10BaseT networks. It can also be controlled using the CANBus interface. Characteristics include 22-26 Vdc (24 Vdc nominal operating current is 500 mA typical @ 20° C) operation. Equipped with a self cut-off latching actuator, this device switches in 60 ms (max). Each unit is supplied with the opto-electronic indicator circuitry monitoring the movement of the RF contact actuators. Available options include external 2 WCW and 50 ohm terminations installed on all termination ports.
