Dow-Key Microwaves Quality Management System (QMS) evolved from a MIL-Q-9858A/MIL-I-45208 environment and is now approved to AS9100 and ISO-9001:2000 through BSI Management Systems; BSI Hold Certificate No. FM 86698. This registration was based upon an operational QMS, which complies with the requirements in accordance with AIR 5359.
Internal auditing continuously monitors the Quality System. The FAA certifies the Quality System (ACSEP) through which PMA authority is provided under 14 CFR part 21, Subpart K the QMS meets the fabrication inspection systems requirements under 14 CFR 21 § 21.303(h). The System is also approved by DCMA-Van-Nuys, and holds authorization under “Alternate Release Procedures” (ARP) in accordance with DoD FAR Supplement (DFARS) 246.471. Numerous other customers have approved Dow-Key Microwave’s QMS, including approvals for Delegated Quality Source Representative activities.
Dow-Key Microwave also maintains a resident DMIR, which provides Return to Service under FAA FAR parts 43.2 & 43.3, or new product, both tags in accordance with FAA Form 8130-3 requirements.
